The rules

General rules

  1. Play nice.
  2. This is Tom's playground, and he makes the rules. Don't like it? Build your own playground.
  3. You can contact Tom here.
  4. This site doesn't make the news, it just reports it. Some of those reports might be wrong. If it's important, check with the source.

Membership

  1. You can become a member here. It's free.
  2. Members get some extra benefits, such as the ability to post events without administrator approval.
  3. Every web site eventually has to deal with abuse, and we'll probably have to tighten up registration requirements when that starts to happen here. So rules will change.
  4. Jerks get their accounts deleted, end of story.

Posting events

  1. Post only events:
    • at a specific location
    • at a specific time
    • within the Oberlin city limits
    • that are accessible on equal terms to everyone regardless of identity and incarnation

Events that don't meet these criteria will be removed.

  2. We reserve the right to reject events for any reason or no reason.

Posting photos

  1. Post only photos that:
    • you personally took and own the rights to
    • were taken within Oberlin's city limits.
  2. By uploading your photo you grant permission to Tom Geller and inoberlin.com an unlimited license to use and reproduce this image.
  3. Photos will be added to a queue for review; Tom will send you a note if it'll appear on the site.
